Internships
Spring Counseling is excited to offer a supportive and structured internship experience for graduate students enrolled in a New York State–registered Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) Master’s program. This internship is designed to help students meet academic requirements while developing strong clinical skills and professional identity in an outpatient mental health setting.
Who This Internship Is For
This internship is appropriate for:
Graduate students in NYS-registered Mental Health Counseling (MHC) programs
Students completing practicum and/or internship requirements
Individuals preparing for post-graduate work toward LMHC licensure
Students seeking a clinically rich, supervised experience
Requirements
Interns must:
Be enrolled in a NYS-registered Mental Health Counseling graduate program
Meet all university internship/practicum requirements
Commit to a consistent weekly schedule
Adhere to professional, ethical, and practice standards
Supervision & Training
All interns receive supervision from Hafsa Shibli, LMHC, a New York State licensed mental health professional qualified to supervise MHC students. Supervision emphasizes:
Clinical skill development and note taking
Case conceptualization
Ethical decision-making and NYS regulations
Therapist self-awareness and professional growth
Supervision structure is aligned with the requirements of NYS-registered academic programs.
