Hey There!

Cheltze Hamilton

I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who values authentic connection and creating a space where you can show up fully and safely. I recognize how culture, identity, family, and lived experiences shape mental health, and I believe these deserve care and respect in therapy.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and informed by a holistic, culturally responsive lens. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences—including cultural and systemic stressors—impact your patterns today. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical: I won’t tell you what to do, but I will help you build insight, self-awareness, and tools that align with your life.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or impacted by cultural, familial, or generational pressures. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and empowered—both in and outside of therapy.

If you’re looking for a culturally aware, approachable therapist who will walk alongside you with empathy and intention, I’d be honored to support you.

About Me: I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pace University and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Hunter College. My clinical experience includes working with diverse populations across various stages of life in both hospital and inpatient settings. Outside of therapy I'm enjoying being a new mom to the most precious little boy and exploring nature with my 2 year old wild Dalmatian.
